Rule-based control of port and rail billing — every difference traced to the source line

Works across your existing systems. Replaces none of them.

Outturn reads what your TOS, ERP, accounting, weighbridge, carrier exports, Excel and e-mail already hold, compares them with each other and finds the loss no single system can see. It proves it with the source records, creates an action for the right person and checks that the money actually came back. Nobody moves their work into another platform.

Without and with Outturn

Your terminal today, and with Outturn on top of it

Today, without Outturn

  • TOS
  • ERP / 1C
  • Accounting
  • Excel
  • E-mail
  • Weighbridge
  • Lab
  • Rail desk
  • Data lives in separate systems: TOS, ERP / 1C, accounting, Excel, e-mail, the weighbridge, the lab, the rail desk.
  • Each system is right about itself. Nobody compares them with each other.
  • Discrepancies are found late or never: unbilled storage days, wagon demurrage, weight differences, missing documents, errors in carrier and port invoices.
  • People reconcile by hand in spreadsheets, and the evidence for a claim is collected again every time.

With Outturn on top of your systems

Outturn: compares, proves, assigns, verifies
  • TOS
  • ERP / 1C
  • Accounting
  • Excel
  • E-mail
  • Weighbridge
  • Lab
  • Rail desk
  • A read-only connection to the same systems: file exports, shared folders, SFTP, API, department mailboxes. Nothing is replaced.
  • Every figure is traced to its source file and row.
  • Deterministic checks run on every confirmed import and recompute storage days, wagon hours, net weights, port dues and freight charges.
  • Each case is proved with the source records and assigned to an owner.
  • Closure is verified: a case counts only when a later check run no longer finds it and a person confirms it.

After you connect

What happens after you connect

  1. Day 1

    Sources connected read-only

Upload exports or connect a shared folder, SFTP, an API or a department mailbox. The first check run starts on the data you connected.

  2. Week 1

    First proved cases

Cases with evidence from the source records, each assigned to an owner in the right department.

  3. Month 1

    Verified results

The six control workers run on your data; closed cases are confirmed by a later check run and a person.

Typical targets, not guarantees: the pace depends on how quickly your data arrives.

The cost of waiting

What an unchecked terminal loses every month

Each system is right about itself; the money is lost between them. Every month without a cross-check, these losses repeat quietly, and the deadlines to recover them keep running.

Storage days and work never billed

When a lot arrives over many wagons and leaves on several vessels, storage and free-time days are easily miscounted, and completed work orders can end without an invoice line. Unbilled work is lost for good.

Weight differences nobody claims

Weighbridge, transport-document and survey weights disagree; weighbridge accuracy typically ranges from 0.5% to 1.0% depending on the port. A difference above tolerance has to be caught in time: under CMR Art. 30, a reservation for non-apparent loss is due within 7 days.

Carrier and port invoices paid unchecked

Wagon hours, shunting and port dues are billed by others from their own clocks. Unless they are recomputed from your own events, an overcharge is simply paid.

Claims lost on one missing document

Demurrage time bars are strictly enforced: in The MTM Hong Kong [2020] EWHC 700 (Comm) a whole demurrage claim was time-barred because bill of lading copies were not supplied with it.

9 July 2027 does not move

From that date authorities in every EU Member State must accept freight information from certified eFTI platforms. The duty is on authorities, not on terminals, but the cargo data exchanged digitally can only be as good as the terminal's own records.

Ports around you are already digitising

The Port of Klaipėda authority is adding eFTI functions to its KIPIS system through the EU-funded eFTI4EU project, and Riga, Ventspils and Liepāja completed a joint port and multimodal logistics platform in August 2026. The shared data layers are being built now; a terminal whose own records are not reconciled will feed them its errors.

Check your own data

These are categories of loss documented in public sources, not results of Outturn customers. A pilot shows which of them occur in your own records.

Why act now

Why it is worth starting now

Money leaks line by line

Unbilled work, storage-day errors, wagon hours, weight differences and invoice errors are lost one line at a time, and claims have deadlines: under CMR Art. 30, reservations for non-apparent loss or damage are due within 7 days.

eFTI: 9 July 2027

From 9 July 2027 authorities in every EU Member State must accept freight information from certified eFTI platforms. Structured data per truck and wagon becomes something you can show digitally.

ICS2 already applies

Since 1 September 2025 road and rail arrivals must also file safety and security data before arrival. The customs clocks the checks watch rest on rules that apply today.

e-CMR is ratified around you

Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland have ratified the e-CMR protocol. Ship reporting is harmonised under EMSWe since 15 August 2025; the terminal's own cargo record is not. That record is what Outturn keeps.

How it works

Four steps from your existing systems to a verified result

01

Connect what you already have

A file export, a shared folder, OneDrive, the department mailbox or a photo of a paper document. Your systems stay as they are; the format is recognised on its own.

02

Compare across systems

The same wagon, truck, lot and invoice are matched across systems. Every figure keeps its source file and row; nothing is overwritten.

03

Prove it, then act

40 deterministic checks compute the money at risk with the evidence attached. The case reaches whoever decides: a handoff, an approval, an evidence pack for a claim.

04

Verify the result

A case counts only when a later check run no longer finds it and a person confirms the recovered or avoided amount.

What makes it different

Not another platform to move your work into

Integration platform

"We move data from A to B."

BI and dashboards

"We show data on a dashboard."

Outturn

"We independently compare all your systems' data, detect a financial or operational discrepancy, collect the evidence, propose an action and control its closure."

AI control workers

Six workers on one data and evidence layer

Recovery is not a separate product. Each worker runs its own deterministic checks over the same ledger and evidence; a person approves every action and every verified result.

  • Revenue Leakage Worker

Finds work that was done but not billed, billed twice, or billed on a wrong weight.

  • Carrier Invoice Audit Worker

Recomputes third-party invoices (rail freight, port dues) from the tariff and flags overcharges.

  • Demurrage & Detention Worker

Recomputes time-based charges: wagon hours, storage days, clock stops, truck turnaround.

  • Missing Document Worker

Finds a document, reference or link that one system expects and another does not have.

  • Contract Compliance Worker

Checks contract terms and the regulatory obligations attached to them (customs, Seveso, weighing).

  • Claims Recovery Worker

Finds quantity and quality losses that need a claim, protest or commercial act in time.

Each department's view

Every department sees its own cases from one control layer

A staff member sees their own department, a manager runs it, management sees everything — on top of the systems they already use. Digital workers sort the queue and draft proposals; a human approves anything that changes a figure or leaves the platform.

Ready for 2027

eFTI, e-CMR and customs references — already today

What Outturn does

  • Assembles the eFTI dataset for every truck and wagon from your own files
  • Shows readiness and exactly what is missing
  • Exports XML validated against the eFTI4EU schema
  • Cross-checks weight against the CMR and tracks the reservation deadline

Honest about the boundary

  • Outturn is a control layer over your systems, not a certified eFTI platform
  • Handoff to a certified platform or KIPIS happens once they are connected
  • Customs declarations are filed by the declarant, not by Outturn
